Our
summer schedule is now online! Bruce and Jami are headed many
different places and feeling refreshed after the short break. Enjoy TKO
Photos' gallery from Macon, Georgia in the Photos section as well! The
team has new T-Shirts and 1/64th toys with the truck's current paint
scheme available for purchase; e-mail us on the contact page for more
information! The team traveled to Glencoe, Alabama for SMTS
and won 2 races and 2 freestyles after doing the exact same thing for TBO
in Boone, North Carolina, putting him up to number 16 in the WMTRL
Standings. Look for a new design showing the truck's new design also
on the site soon!

WELCOME INNOVATIVE
SAFETY PRODUCTS!

Team Bad News welcomes
Innovative Safety Products as a new sponsor. ISP has done work for Dale
Earnhardt, Jr. and John Force, along with many Nascar teams as well, and
Bruce and Jami are excited to have them on board.
Bad News wrapped up the
first quarter of 2008 in Columbus, Georgia, and it was a great way to go
out.
"We had the best
weekend of the season right at the end," said Bruce. "I feel
great in the truck after getting the awesome new seat from Chris Van
Gilder, and Jami told me I had some great air under the truck in
freestyle."
Bad News took two out of
the three racing wins for the weekend in Columbus, and had scores in the
low to mid-20's in freestyle.
The truck is currently
being taken apart and gone through during the two weeks off the team has,
and Bruce and Jami are preparing for the summer season. With the great new
seat, Bruce said that the summer will be spent working on freestyle, and
that his confidence level is very high. We will have more dates added to
our schedule shortly!
February 29, 2008
Team Bad News is currently
in Macon, Georgia for a display, followed by an exciting weekend there.
This past weekend in Dayton, Ohio was a very special one for the team.
During Friday's show, Bruce lost in the finals of racing against Full
Boar, then came back to win the Saturday afternoon show with a bit of
help. Bruce had a special guest on board who loved Bruce's donuts. Bruce
and Jami would like to thank Andy "Animal" and send best wishes
to his family. It was a very emotional weekend, "one that makes it
worth our years in the sport," said Jami. "We were just
extremely happy to help out."

As promised, photos from
Biloxi, Mississippi are online courtesy of David Kranak. Thanks David!
Also, Friday, February 1's Rockford, Illinois event photos are online!
Charlotte was up and down
for the Bad News team. While making the semifinals in racing and having
solid freestyles all around, Bruce felt he wanted to do better.
"We had some issues in
racing, but we made it through and I'm definitely getting back to being
comfortable for freestyle. I'm excited to get back out there soon, and
we've been doing really well overall," said Bruce.
Next up for the team is a
trip to Dayton, Ohio for some Thunder Nationals action!
February 16, 2008
Bruce and Jami finished a
display date in Charlotte and are currently in the city for some exciting
Monster Jam action. In Rockford, Bruce dominated the donut contest,
spinning about ten revolutions and using his trademark wheel out the
window move to ensure victory, along with solid freestyles. From there, it
was Biloxi, Mississippi, where Bruce took the racing victory Friday and
Saturday, and suffered a broken planetary in freestyle. The truck is back
together and ready to go though, and we will have photos from both shows
online soon! Also, please note our schedule changes to the Schedule page!
January 31, 2008
Bruce and Jami headed to
Greenville after the show in Minneapolis and picked up one racing victory
and some momentum that was lost at the beginning of the season.
"It was tough for us
breaking so badly the first weekend out," said Jami. "It really
hurt Bruce's confidence, but now we're on the right track again."
Bruce had a great performance in racing and was solid in freestyle.
The next stop for the team
is a Thunder Nationals event in Rockford, Illinois, and we will have
photos and coverage from that event soon!

Photos from this weekend's
event in Minneapolis are now online. Enjoy!
January 21, 2008

Bruce returned to the seat
for the 16-truck Monster Jam in Minneapolis this weekend, and had solid
runs in racing and freestyle. His night was cut short by a red light
against Eradicator after posting a 28.69 in qualifying to be in the top
half of the field.
Bruce hit everything on the
track in freestyle, but had the unfortunate luck of being one of the first
trucks out, and was only scored a 12 from the judges. More photos and
possible video will be online soon!
January 18, 2008
It's been a rough couple of
weeks for Bruce and Jami since their spectacular but damage-filled trip to
Des Moines. The team missed their show in Montgomery, Alabama because of
their damages.
"It was tough missing
the show, but we just had too much damage to be able to repair in time.
We've got everything back together and patched up. We had to redo
everything in the front of the truck, and re-patch the body too, but we're
ready for Minneapolis!" said Jami.
Josh Kirschner's photos
from Des Moines are now online. Enjoy, and we will have updates from
Minneapolis soon!
January 6, 2008
Bruce and Jami started off
2008 with a bang in Des Moines! Friday was good news, as Bruce was able to
upset Grave Digger in the semifinals of the racing portion of the show,
then take his first win over the Turtle truck. Saturday afternoon Bruce
made it to the semifinals but was beaten by Grave Digger, and solid
freestyles were done at both shows. Saturday evening was where things got
hairy, though. During the wheelie competition, Bruce had trouble getting a
wheelie going, and decided to go for a rare power wheelie. He succeeded,
but landed awkwardly and tore out the whole front housing, doing major
damage to the front four link bars, shocks, and minor body damage suffered
in the resulting roll. Videos from the show can be found HERE
and HERE.
"We were kind of due
for something bad to happen," said Jami. "It was our first
rollover in a long time, probably five or six years. Bruce tried to set
the truck down before the cars and didn't quite make it."
The team was loading parts
into the trailer until 3 AM, and is currently headed to Dan Patrick's shop
to make repairs, hopefully able to make their next show in Montgomery.
After that, they have been called upon to do the Minneapolis show, and we
have updated our Schedule
to reflect that. Keep checking the site for more photos and updates, and
thanks for visiting!

Bruce, Jami, and Bad News
fell just short of the SMTS
title, losing to Gun Slinger by a narrow margin, including a photo finish
during one race.
"We're really happy
with how things went," said Bruce. "We were trying something new
with the fuel mixture, and it hampered us a little on Friday, then
Saturday's race was close as they come. It was a fun weekend."
Photos from Pensacola,
Florida courtesy David Kranak are now online also. Enjoy, and check back
soon for some Good News!

Bruce and Jami would like
to thank Smoky Mountain Chevrolet for their hospitality in the Toys for
Tots event that went down this past weekend, and Jami also had a special
message for the friends, family, and other supporters that showed up:
"Thank you very much
for all coming out! It was truly a heartwarming experience to have so many
people we hadn't seen in so long come out. It was one of the best weekends
we've had in the business!"
At the shop the team is
preparing for a new body and a new look for 2008! More details and a 2008
schedule will be available once confirmed!
November 5, 2007

It was Bruce's birthday this past week,
and he was given a surprise gift during the Kissimmee show by Kyle Chandler from all of the monster truck
drivers--a walker! Bruce has already taken a liking to his new toy, and
he's even found out he can do cyclone donuts with it!
On a more serious note, Racing was cancelled due to rain in Aiken,
South Carolina, and a short wheelie contest and freestyle was held in front of some
die-hard fans in the rain. Kevin with Project X swept both competitions on
Wednesday night.
The chase for the Southern Monster Truck
Showdown championship is coming down to the wire! With just 2 events
remaining, Bruce Haney leads Scott Hartsock with 20 overall wins this
season to Scott's 18 heading into Pensacola. Photos will be online
soon!
October 24, 2007
Team Bad News has been
busy preparing for the coming season by doing one thing--winning!
Bruce won both races in Ocala, Florida and won freestyle on Friday
night. Then the team headed to Aiken, South Carolina on Tuesday.
Bruce won freestyle again, and got second in racing, losing to Gun
Slinger in the finals. Before Bruce lost to Scott Hartsock, he had
won 8 races in a row. The team races tonight and then goes to
Kissimee on Saturday.
Also, our Photos page is
updated! Thanks for visiting!
